Alexander                                                                                                                                 Piano

A native of Florida, organist/collaborative pianist Alexander Lane has made his home in Massachusetts for nearly a decade. He holds a B.A. in Organ Performance from Westminster Choir College (Princeton, NJ), where his principal organ teacher was Ken Cowan, and also holds an M.F.A. and a Ph.D. in Musicology from Brandeis University. Lane completed his doctoral dissertation, entitled From Archean Granite: The Rational Pitch Systems of Harry Partch, Lou Harrison, and Ben Johnston, in 2017 under the guidance of Dr. Eric T. Chafe. Lane currently serves as the Music Director at the First Parish of Bolton. He is also in demand as a collaborative pianist in the MetroWest area.
